Bio Hack to Help Step into the CEO Role of Your Life (+ Biz)

In 7 years of running an online business while juggling life with twins, the morning routine has evolved over time. With this past year, I have seen EXPLOSIVE ENERGY and LASER FOCUS in my days.

I went from exhausted, 2pm latte drinking brain fog mom squeezing snippets of work throughout the day to energized, mentally focused and coaching for an 8- figure business all while homeschooling our twins, the Gillies and growing my own business.

Here's the beautiful part about this, the transformation didn't take more HUSTLE... sweet, right?  However, it did take focusing on my habits... just 1% at a time.

This is what I'm here to help you with, but I should warn you this is not your grandmother's biohack-your-morning routine. In fact, this isn't about trying to do ALL the things ALL at once. Heck, no one can do ALL the things ALL the time. It's simply about doing your best, every single day. No matter WHAT the season you are in, love.

I break things down for you one step at a time in my series, OWN YOUR MORNING; however, here's a sweet little bonus tip for you to help YOU step into the CEO Role of Your LIFE and business, boo.  

It's called the MAGICAL MORNING practice... and complete transparency, it is something taught to me by my dear friend, Kimi who is an exceptional business accountability partner.  

Let me fill you in on the steps... 

  1. Start with gratitude:  when you start with gratitude, you are giving thanks for what you have while shifting your mindset to an abundance frame of mind.  
  2. Visualize the future YOU:  identify the person YOU want to be and the role you play in your family, life, work and community.  What habits does this version of YOU have... what do you listen to each day, what are you eating, who are you spending your time, what are you investing in, what did you accomplish - this all matters!  And then write out 3-5 things AS IF you made them happen (present tense).  
  3. Jot down non-negotiables:  your non-negotiables are things which you are committing to do each and every day.  However, the KEY here is that these non-negotiables can vary each day and will most likely evolve over time because of your amazing growth.  It's best to reflect at the end of each month, evaluate your progress + set your goals in place then set new non-negotiables for the month ahead.

 

And this is the magical morning practice in a nutshell.  Each morning these are the things I write out in the journal... 3 things I am grateful for along with 3-5 things my future self as accomplished and the non-negotiables set for the day!  

Yet here's the kicker - if you want to LEVEL UP, grab yourself an accountability partner and send them a 5 minute voice memo every morning stating these things!   There's something about having someone in your corner rooting for you + also calling you out on your B.S. when you are playing it small.
